The JTS footprint is converted into [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Well-known_text_representation_of_geometry Well-known Text (WKT)] and [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Well-known_text_representation_of_geometry Well-known Binary (WKB)] in the process of parsing and ingesting the acquired manifest files into the operated metadata database. WKT and WKB are originally defined by the [https://www.ogc.org/standards OGC] to describe simple features. <br>
